Hi,
This study of unemployment among female graduates is a
preliminary step towards a wider study of the extent of human resource
development through the higher education of women in Maharashtra. Whether higher education by itself matches
the development perspective of the State and the nation is a basic point to be considered for
studying the human resource development problems from the present and future
angles. It is then that the question of
the nature and extent of participation of the youth, both men and women, in
higher education can be investigated as one of the aspects of the development
process in which economic productivity is considered paramount.
