Studentji

First

Can you enlist 3 unique things about the reverred "Quantum long term Eqity fund" which are not present in other funds....as you said its a novel concept ...so must be having something new in it which i/(may be other forum members) would like to learn/know and who knows, benefit by investing in it ....

Second

If you "truly" believe that Mr Dayal is using CNBC as a medium to publicise his fund and therefore reduce his marketing expenses...i think its a mind-blowing idea....still i have my doubts if any fund manager will reduce expenses by going on channel...cos i am not sure how many mutual funds follow this concept ... havent heard about this before...but if its true...then other fundhouses should replicate this...cos its a "table-thumping" Winkidea whose time has come...

VALUE  and GROWTH are 2 sides of the same coin.so if praj grows at 40% per annum for the next 4 yrs then pl do the math and see how much value is there, hence a PRICE IS BEING FORMED.INFY BECAME 100000 BECAUSE THE MKT SAW GROWTH poeple who bought it at 300 levels saw tremendous value  and held on as growth emerged i suppose this clears alot of doubts bout the above discussion.reg ajit dayal studentji, dont you feel he could have done the whole interview without uttering quantum fund even once my opinion he was selling it
understanding both the power of compound return and the difficulty getting it is the heart and soul of understanding a lot of things

Some guys seems to have never read this line:

That was very well explained. The bottomline is to look fo either cheap stocks or stocks that are supposed to become cheap (by their growth rates)!

We discussed the Value argument here!

Oh! Quite a discussion I missed y'day!

Let me again disclose that I have nothing repeat nothing against any persons being criticised here. It is sometimes their hidden motive or the actual reality v/s big talk which agonises me.

e.g. .....
  1. Buying junk at lower levels at say x, recommending to gullible chatters to buy at 2x or 3x saying it is 'turnaround', 'hidden gem' & actually offloading it!
  2. The major holdings of that QLTEMF are really pathetic.

Charlie Munger once said: “When they’re talking, they’re lying, and when they’re quiet, they’re stealing”

Life can only be understood backwards—but it must be lived forwards
