Great thoughts. The most important is self belief which I think will help you the most because the crowd (others) will try and convince you that this self belief is really your over-confidence. the trick is to define that attribute and stay with it.In hiondsight every one can makke out whejther it was self belief or over confidence but by then the story would have been over - the winner is able to distinguish it upfront and that too when others are looking at it from another angle!

Sorry for reviving such an old post, I read this article in mag itself and it was real motivator to me, these qualities are timeless. They are true for success in any area(with slight modification, ofcourse ;-)
