Perhaps we need people who worship 'other' investment gurus like Harshad Mehta and Ketan Parekh? :)
Yesterday, Chinki invited me to his house for a discussion on life in general and stocks in particular. His gracious wife prepared garam garam pav bhaajis for us! Thanks Chinki - I had a great time.
All the Bangalore TEDdies - we could probably meet up at a Cafe Coffee Day on a weekend and discuss stocks over a cup of coffee!

Kulman ji - they were 'Totapuri' Mangoes. It's not as sweet and juicy as other varieties. But they are good for munching because it is dry. It can also be used to make chutney or pickles

During peak season, Karnataka Haapus is usually sold as Konkan's Alphonso here!
This year for the first time I tasted Maankurad variety in Goa. It's good. I also like Northern varieties such as Dasheri, Langda etc...

Kulmanji, What smartcat got was the dry mangoes (totapari)but what we have now is local famous "MALAGOBA". Very big in size and juicy (don't say your mouth is getting full with liquid), you will find it difficult to it even one without food also.
By the bye, we donot have any farm house or fields. My sister works as a doctor in a place called KOLAR ( 70KMs from Bangalore and 20KMs from Kolar Gold Fields ). Near Kolar, there is a place called Srinivasa Pura where they grow these mangoes organically (no chemicals). We get these mangoes from there with lot of affection and love (My sister's colleague hails from that place). Any GOOD THINGS should be shared. Hence the invitation to all good people. Devesh : Which photographs??? Kishan : It may be too early for the people to plan for day after tomorrow at a short notice. Infact I have a plan to goto Mysore weekend which will get confirmed tonight. We haven't had any updates here from Bangalore.
Anyway.......taking inspiration from Bangalore, a Mumbai+Pune Chapter of TED has been proposed.
The youngest TEDdy, Devesh Kayal has kindly agreed to be the convener for the first meeting tentatively to be scheduled sometime in Nov'07 as per convenience of interested members. For the first meeting we may request Basant jee to preside over the informal meeting.
Devesh....as discussed over phone please do co-ordinate, of course after your examinations.

I think 24th should be ok because then people coming over from out of the states can stay back for one more day for a joint session on the 25th. Else we get time only for one day. Also I should be in Bangalore in 18th and thereafter return back after a short tour by the 21st or 22nd.
My staying at Jaynagar DOES not matter. We can always commute. You all decide the loocation.

I would also like to watch the quee at the Axis Bank ATM counter. You know when I go for my evening walks I walk faster when I see a long quee at the Axis Bank ATM.

no problem - what is your budget? I assume you need a seven star hotel, in which case the choice is very easy as there is only one - The Leela! Else, you may have to come down a bit from your current status and stay at any of the five star hotels like Oberoi, Taj West End, etc.
