There are many issues with many of the companies of TED XI........

Vivek, I am not here to defend Ted XI. Even I may not be convinced about few Ted XI stocks.

First of all, let me say that I am not one of those hotshot investors who know the answer to everything.  The present times have no parallel, not with the 92 crash, not with the tech bubble nor the 1929 crash.  The speed with which world markets crumbled is unbelievable.  All theories can be thrown out of the window for the time being.  Since valuations are not respected, current prices are devoid of logic and the carnage is quite likely to continue for atleast a short while.  So, though there is no doubt that Thermax is a good scrip, it will not be spared if the carnage continues.  I would say sell your holdings and reenter a little bit later.  Right now, nothing is more comforting  than  CASH IN HAND.

Just like in a Bull market we have the saying due to extreme optimism  'This time it is different . In a bear market also the similar statement due to fear "This time it is different" .

If you are looking at stocks as an investment for a 10 year period ( for a steady compounding growth )  then nothing to fear .If you are speculating to make quick bucks and become rich in 2-3 years then you will have sleepless nights .

Bull Markets brings in lots of people in to the stock market and sees to it that Tom , Dick and Harry become overnite Buffetts  but bear market will test the temperament of everyone to see that only the fittest survive and teaches everyone the following lesson of Graham :

To achieve satisfactory investment results is easier than most people realize ; to achieve superior results is harder than it looks .
Benjamin Graham.

Mr.Basant with the stock prices crashing many companies need to be shifted from large Cap Blue Chips to Mid Caps forum....And from Mid Caps to Small Caps forum.....

Lot of readjusting needs to be done to the forums in TED....

Dear Mr. Maheshwari,
I agree with you 100% on the Technical aspects. You guide extremely well for identifying potential bluechips Technically. But, it seems that Technical factors are also equally important. Kindly guide the purchase strategy to be followed to accumulate the scripts. - Adityan CS

Basant jee is majorly fundamentals-based.

The most important quality for an investor is temperament, not intellect.A temperament that neither derives great pleasure from being with the crowd nor against it
