The solution is too painful (and expensive): buy the collected works of C. Munger and read 'em cover-to-cover Tongue.

Money saved: thanks, all of you for the quotes and the link! Maybe I've to learn to google better Big%20smile Big%20smile.

On a serious note (by public demand), any idea about which ideas should be killed?

CRISIL & Financial Technologies are two portfolio candidates in my opinion which can be considered for inclusion in TED XI

Valuation look much attractive now

Crisil's valuation has not changed much. It is hardly down 20% in this whole carnage.

Just a question Basant Sir......

What is this TED XI all about.

We are to stay with fundamentals or price behaviour. Are we simply interested in stocks that will go up, with or without fundamentals. If the aim is to create a portfolio of stably rewarding companies, CRISIL comes way above the yes banks and dish TVs in fulfilling that role. However, if we looking for bigger the reward in shortest the time, then its a different thing altogether......

I see a key issue with CRISIL - 100% subsidary of parent company (typical of MNCs).

I beleive that Financial Technologies is a good investment right now despite the fact that the % holding of Financial Technologies in MCX has susbtantially gone done. But see it has generated huge amount of reserves / cash by stake sale of MCX. I do see a lot of potential in other siblings of Financial Technologies not just MCX.
