obiviously he is eyeing the 8000crs bid mtnl has received for some of its real estate.with the govt planning to make broadband free that should hurt mtnl
understanding both the power of compound return and the difficulty getting it is the heart and soul of understanding a lot of things
A not very "rare" investor who likesTitan and infrastructure stocks is learned to have accumulated huge amount of MTNL recently.Shares have had a bumpy ride on the bourses ever since the company declared modest results on Tuesday. As a matter of fact the stocks has been simply moving sideways for the past few months. But if this high profile investor has his way,all this may soon change. The investor reportedly is of the view that at 150 levels, the stock is grossly undervalued. He sees an upside of almost Rs.500.
I think we should find out soon what he sees that we cannot see.Or will MTNL go the Mid-day Multimedia way.Only time will tell.
If u still dont get the hint...his firm name is Rare Enterprises and he holds Titan and Nagarjuna.
Do not take all that on face value. they are operator planted also. MTNL has a market cap of Rs 9400 crores so RJ if he were convinces should have put in at least Rs 95 crores and that means we should have his name on the BSE site?
Most of the time the sprite advertisement works well " Dikhave pe mat jao...."
I could have missed Tv18 and bought Tv Today had I followed him blindly. We should use the big names for direction not destination

Does anyone know anything about a stock called Futura Polyesters Ltd - heard on CNBC a few days back that RJ has a bit of a stake in this company - also Jagdish Malkani recommeded it highly for a slightly longterm investment
Can someone explain what RJ sees in Bilcare - he seemed very bullish on it. Cannot see (my ignorance) how the competitive edge in R&D in packaging can translate into huge economics/margins/durable advantage over long term.

Bilcare has not performed after the initial rally - at least that is what I can remember.
