That was a good feed back. Personally I am getting little  info on this company that I can base my calculations on but Viceroy as a business model/expansion etc looks good.

Both in the ratio of 65: 35 (value wise) towards the bigger company.

Hi Basantji,
I see Internal Business Travel & Tourism to be a big driver for Hotels in India rather than external tourism. reason being for external tourism , except few states like Kerala & Rajasthan other states are not doing much to attract tourists. Would you agree on that point - internal or external tourism to be biggest drivers?

With consumer spending and disposable incomes, People could get in habit of  vacations at least once a year and many others taking long week end trips etc... So Hotels is one booming Service sector in India which is yet to catch up..

I see your Super XI to be well thought potential multi-baggers...Looks like you are not that optimistic on hotels ... What are the points you think you are less optimistic on hotels in India..say in terms of penetration or addressable spend or PE or ROE or cyclic nature etc...

I have gained from your research and conviction on TV18.  Some insights on the level of your conviction on Indian Hotels would help..

Regards,
Vivek

Often we forget there's a company behind every stock, and there's only one reason why stocks go up. Companies go from doing poorly to doing well or small companies grow to large companies.

You know I fully agree on your thought on internal travel but I am equally bullish on Indian Hotels just that in a team we can take only X! players and many time the selectors do make some adjustments (experience/young blood).

That team was made with an idea of keeping the cyclicals out and that is why I did not include Indian Hotels. Now at least in India it is not a cyclical for the next 5 years but Hotel as an industry  is cyclical as I thought.

Indian Hotels is a classic property cum consumption play.
