I did see Sayaji they were planning to have a chain of restaurants across the country but if I am not mistaken the promoters have consistently diluted their stake over the past few quarters. That is a cause for worry. Stake dilution on fresh equity issue is understandable but stake dilution through outright sale does raise eye brows.

That MF are holding in lesser number is a positive sign. That indicates some kind of potential buyers who would at some time bid the stock up.

During the september Quarter net sales were up 27.82% at Rs 266.7 crore from Rs 208.6 crore  in the while net profit increased 74.55% to Rs 46.2 crore from Rs 26.5 crore. The operating margins saw an expansion of 274 basis points to 21.54%.

This is one of the best plays on the Indian hospitality sector and the management says that in future they expect to derive a significant (30% plus) income from internations operations. Makes sense to add at current levels. Also look at Viceroy Hotels - company is getting into a huge expansion programme.

Will a fresh entry at current levels be advisable? Infact i was having this one in my mind but was not very much convinced as regards the levels, but i guess now i am.

This one could be a real outperfomer. Plus low mf holding will go a long way in having ready buyers when the stock is "discovered". Any fund, any institution wanting a exposure in this sector will always have it in his portfolio no matter the levels.

However viceroy could be a high risk higher return stock, but i guess till basantji and other senior members show us light, i would want to wait.

if yu visit www.viceroyhotels.com yu get diretced to hyderabad marriot ,which looks to be really a great prpoerty i feel the tie up with marriot is going to be big for viceroy.the marriot property in panaji goa which belongs to the salgaocars maybe at a good price be sold off who knows maybe viceroy could end up owing it.one question basant is viceroy planning hotels in tourist spots like kerala, agra, rajasthan?
understanding both the power of compound return and the difficulty getting it is the heart and soul of understanding a lot of things
