has anybody looked at/invested in Frankin FMCG? . I am impressed with the stocks in the portfolio too. I know investing in a sector fund is not good. But thinking of doing some lump sum investment in this. (apart from switching from my old investment in Franklin India flex cap.. i am bored of seeing the same old reliance, sbi, infosys, l&t,bhel, bharti etc in all mutual fund holdings)

If there is one sector fund that is worth investing in at all times, then it has to be a FMCG fund. There is very little risk of a loss over a long period of time. However, do note that FMCG sector funds might see long durations (like 2 or 3 years) of no or very little rise in NAV.
