Devesh: Your posts carry a lot of information and for your age you are really smart. At 19 years of age people generally visit malls and multiplexes  (which I am sure you do) and have very little financial sense but you seem to be different. Keep up the good work!!!

I heard this somewhere: "A truly great man is one who acknowledges someone else as great." Keep up the good work everyone.
The most important quality for an investor is temperament, not intellect.A temperament that neither derives great pleasure from being with the crowd nor against it

My resolution is to be a little wiser each month of the new year.

Happy new year to all TEDies and may the new year bring prosperity to everyone.

Devesh, you are terrific. Finance sense at such an tender age is excellent.

My resolution - I will not do any thing that doesn't add any monetary benefit to my life. (Reading TED is different though. It adds wisdom which helps me earn money).

1. Will try not to make losses in investment. That is would buy stocks only with margin of safety & downside protection.
2. Will avoid unnecessary expenditures like going to multiplex.
3. Will resist the temptations  to  buy expensive gadgets.[ Decided to forgoe  buying  Samsung Galaxy Note @Rs.34000 . Instead bought 200 shares of Titan]
4. Will try to always remember above three resolutions
