Infact I will just elloborate on my experience, I had to simply fight for PF dues after waiting patiently for more then 3 years, Company never had ne one answerable for it, they had some part time PF consultant, who had misplaced the forms on 2 occassions & finally my CA had to call them, give them legal threats to recover the amount.

I would listen to that very carefully.Primafacie that does not talk very high about the management. SInce your wife would have been with the company since it was very small she should have been in contact with Mr. Kulkarni (the director) - would have expected her case to be speeded up at least.

Hi Basantji,

There can be concerns like this (I have worked in  no of Top rated companies and faced similar probs) however we we need to focus on the bigger picture and see if this company can scale up and gives us substantial returns..
If the management is not good but the business is excellent then go for the business.....

While this does not show that the management is a complete fraud and that the company's products should not do well it just gives us some perspective; probably it is a  one off maybe that they were not too serious about that but basically I agree it should not overshadow the business model of the company.

But a good business with an OK management is always better then an excellent business with a corrupt management.

Very interesting discussion. While I have no idea about Mundu, Geodesic, or its management; there are few gems from the legend (Warren Buffet) which come to mind:

  1. In evaluating people, you look for three qualities: integrity, intelligence, and energy. If you don’t have the first, the other two will kill you.
  2. If you put the right people in the wrong business, the bad economics of the business will prevail. On the other hand, the wrong people will ruin a good business. What you need are the right people in the right business.

Google. Yahoo both are looking for aquisition in India. This could be very good target.

In that case I would worry less abt management as google/yahoo can not make under the table deal. Company must have this in mind they will try to maximum valuation and that could be huge. I have been watching this kind of businesses but I will have to look more in detail but looks very interesting.

The background of the people who have joined in the last year, in particular  but not exclusively along with the Simputer acquisition and with(indirect)NASA and FII holdings one can more or less take management integrity and ability for granted. But valuations are high, technology is ever-changing ,earnings can throw up negative surprises and so one has to look beyond all that into the very heart of the issue-the depth and qualty of talent and how they are nurturing it to produce extraordinary results.  If there question marks regarding this ,the share price ought to be a fraction of what it is currently traded at.
