The present rates are around Rs 300 - 330 in the grey market. I think this will be a fancy stock but for that fancy ride it will have to grow at above average rates.

If I understand correctly the business depends on trading volume and at this moment it allows trading in commodities. MCX claims world's top 5 in terms of trading volume in many commodities. Do we have enough reasons to trade so much when India as a country is not such a big consumer except gold. So essentially this is all rampant speculation. Isn't it? It invites govt. intervention every now and then. At this moment it is not allowed to trade equity and reasons are best known to SEBI only. Business is scalable no doubt but apart from trading pop do we have strong reasons to hold it for longer?

I have not read the offer doc so my knowledge is limited.

TCSer, you are right provided one have exit plan. I remember my first ever IPO was Powergrid and I sold it for 155.5 and it has not crossed that figure in almost 5 yrs . Some of my friends are still holding it from IPO days. Fortunately I exited not because I had sense of valuation but I needed money just after listing. I just think one needs to be very nimble here too.

Basant Sir, Their total equity shares is roughly 5 cr.

Does your statement mean the grey market value of the company is less than 2000 cr?

Why does one need so much variety ?
Risk does not reside in price changes, but in miscalculations of intrinsic value .

Once initial hype is over people will realise that business model
has very little scope for growth and stock will enter elite?
     club of IIFL,MOFS,Religare,India Bulls--- etc

Playing for listing gains can be dangerous in these kind
of stocks. One small policy/rule change can ruin entire
business model of these companies.
