Just because one is bullish on Birla Corp does not mean that he is bullish on cement cos. Of the entire lot of cement cos, Birla Corp is the only one which is attractively priced now. Expect some surprises on the upside in the coming quarters especially after the co's agreement with the trade unions three months ago. The strike is called off and its biggest unit is back on stream. More money is flowing in from carbon credits. And the co has just got a coal mining block allotted to it.

One forum member has the choicest of words for Orient Paper I had a chance to meet some undergraduate senior level executives at his place and surely it did not look exciting.

Subramanian of Subhiksha says the company will invest some Rs 600 crores in the consumer durable line of business. He has denied reports that the company is planning to sell out.

Well, I know who you are talking about.....but Orient Paper is more than fans and lamps. Infact, the Narkeldanga Unit is nothing when compared to the their cement plant and Amlai units. The company has a huge amount of freehold land at Brajrajnagar, I believe. And contrary to popular perception, Brajrajnagar is not a backward area........

The correct spelling is acumen and not as rendered on the thread's headline.
