Sena MP Mohan Rawle says his plea to CM Ashok Chavan to conduct a probe in the case has been ignored

Minister of State for Home (Urban) Arif Naseem Khan is facing fresh controversy for his alleged links with the underworld.

Sena MP Mohan Rawle has written to the state government giving details of calls allegedly made between Khan and a Dawood aide on the morning of the Mumbai terror attacks.

Rawle claims to have acquired Khan’s phone records from the phone company. In his letter to the state, he alleges that Khan, a Congress MLA from Kurla, made and received at least 150 calls to and from Asif Dadhi since November 26. “The calls were made and received on a cellphone number acquired by Dadhi’s wife Reshma,” he said.

Rawle explained that he had first asked Chief Minister Ashok Chavan to probe the matter. “Surprisingly, the CM has ignored my demand and did not give a satisfactory answer,” he revealed, following which he decided to write to the state government.

In February, Khan’s alleged underworld links created an uproar in the state legislative assembly. BJP MLA Devendra Fadnavis had made allegations over the same issue in one of the sessions. Khan had then refuted the allegations stating the issue was politically motivated.

This time round too, he has said that the allegations against him are baseless and that he doesn’t know Asif Dadhi. “The opposition is resorting to political stunts during the Lok Sabha elections to malign my image,” he said.

Rawle said that Khan justified the calls saying that being a minister he gets calls from several people every day. “We can understand that. But Khan himself had called Dadhi on the morning of 26/11. No one will call a stranger,” Rawle alleged.

Naseem Khan denies knowing Asif Dadhi

Khan is at present campaigning for Milind Deora, who is contesting the Lok Sabha elections from South Mumbai. “If the state government genuinely conducts an inquiry, Khan will be exposed to the public and it will amount to fair elections in that area,” said Rawle.

Who is Asif Dadhi?

In September 2004, the Mumbai crime branch had arrested Asif, an important mediator of the Chhota Shakeel gang, who allegedly accepted huge sums of money from Fahim Machmach through hawala. He and Rubina Siraj Sayyed would then distribute the money among Shakeel aides. The crime branch arrested Asif after they caught Rubina, a mehendi designer from Byculla. However, during investigation, police failed to gather sufficient evidence against Dadhi and his name was dropped from the charge sheet.

Muslim appeasement is a global phenomenon

Tags: Secularism in India Muslim fundamentalism Muslims in India
This article is a comment on website of Dr Daniel Pipes

http://www.danielpipes.org/comments/120265

The issue which Dr Daniel pipes has raised in his latest column is in continuation of his warnings with which he is knocking the door of west from last two decades. In his several articles he has portrayed the true picture of western nations which are slowly but stedily falling in the lap of Islam.

This phenomenon of submission to Islam with policy of Muslim appeasement is very much in use in almost every nation of this earth. India is a densely Muslim populated nation which have 15 percent of its population as Muslim, but their affection for sharia and tendency to produce more and children with practice of polygamy has become a real threat for this Hindu majority nation which already has suffered a lot under subjugation of Muslim rulers for centuries.

When India became free in 1947 from the cluthes of Briltish rulers its so called new founders of nation adopted the model of secularism and practiced pseudo secularism synonyms to Muslim appeasement. For decades this policy took the shape of official government policy and Muslim fundamentalism grew and become stronger and stronger day by day. Practice of pseudo secularism in India has paralysed the system to such an extent that our prime minister feels proud in announcing in national development council that Muslims in India has first right on resources. This story does not end here Home minister of India declares before delegates of minority commissions that mechanism should be developed to insure reservation for Muslim in government jobs and education.

Few apologists in Indian system will plead for Muslims that they should be treated as under privilege class because of their social status but with whatever situation Muslims are confronted today not because of their lack of development but because of their teachings and practices. This article and issue has some relevance in Indian context also because Indian political system has become so apologetic for Islam and Muslims and gradually inching towards accomodation of Sharia. In India we also have some under privilege class as scedule casts and tribes those have been given special status in constitution but they don't pose any threat to nation because their loyalty has no alien roots. They also have different customs and traditions but their customs are not in confrontation with national ethos.

As long as policy of Muslim appeasement will be practiced in form of secularism threat of Islamic dominance on this world loom large. All forces who have suffered a lot with this menace in past or those suffering today should come together and get united to take a lead role in defining some concepts of modern world order in which we live. Secularism and liberalism is one of them. In Indian context it is difficult to differenciate between secularist and leftists. Because both of them has one common enemy that is Hindu organisations and both of them plead for Islamists.

Breaking news- Sharad pawar is impressed with  shahrukh khan's multiple captain strategy so now he wants to apply same in politics. He wants third front+fourth front govt with outside support of congress and they will make 10 prime minister from sharad pawar then prakash karat then lalu prasad yadav then mulayam singh then kumarswami then chandrababu naidu then jayalalitha then navin patnaik then ramvilas paswan then shibu soren.

Then Yamuna River will have Chini Ghat, Lal Ghat, Bhens ghat etc after few years...

I don't think Cong will support them from outside. Two reasons:

1. Congress is hungry for power like any other party. They won't give up PM post.
2. That govt would become so unpopular in short time that cong would lose its leftover vote bank.

Many of those PM seekers are going to get lost after this election. Lalu, Paswan, Mulayam, Karat and even Pawar are going to lose heavily.

IMO things are going to be extremely complex. But agains many times results are unpredictable so lets see.

You are thinking about River,I m thinking abt market. I already booked ticket for native place. Ticket dated 18th may. It looks that pawar and others are working to weaken so they can't get much seat. if Pawar, left and others will get 175+ then  they will not supoort congress or bjp then i think congress will support third/fourth fronth without bsp. They will get some issue after one year and will withdraw support and one more election. i hope bjp will get 175+ then we can get stable govt.
