I dont see any related thread. Hence creating one. The intent is to know the asset allocation strategies of other members and get advice from experts.  Lets not include real estate and physical gold since they are illiquid.

Here is mine.

FD:                           40%
Savings Account:      20%
Direct stock:             18%
Equity oriented MF:    4%
Gold ETF:                    0%
ULIP:                          0%
Others :                    18%. ( Forced PF contribution, Gratuity, Infra bonds etc)

Debt (liability in the form of loan etc):   0

It would be good if others could share theirs.

Do you suggest investment in Gold (physical) and Gold ETF?

I have kept some money in FD which covers about one year of my expenses. This is something like funds for emergency. I have also bought an apartment to live in. I do not consider above as part of my investible money.

Other than above, I have invested almost 95% of investible money in equities and in the process of making it 100%. Besides, I also divert my monthly savings out of salary to my investible money and regularly put it in equities. I do not see myself out of equities unless forced to encash in case massive bubble of Harshad Mehta proportion develops.

I do not have any loans outstanding to pay. Hence, my networth, excluding emergency fund and apartment, is amost fully in equities.

I think we can also include what kind of insurance people have purchased along with the asset allocation. People should get a good idea that they have not kept much in FD but they are properly insured e.g.
1. Term plan
2. Health plan.

I am also 100% into equity and equity oriented mutual funds. I have also separated about 1 year expenses for any emergency. Rest all is invested. Though I generally have some cash available with me for any good deal.

Success... at all cost.
