TED featured in the 10th Sept issue of Outlook Money. Though this is just a normal routine coverage I feel that the credit for this goes to everyone who has contributed to mjake www.theequitydesk.com agreat place to interact, communicate and learn.

Really this shows how conviction and passion towards an idea can bring us to what a place! Full credit to Basant ji for going for his idea to make such a website when perhaps 90% of people would have laughed at him when he would have started.

Basant ji future potential dekhne kee apni policy ko apne case mein bhee....LOL   when r u floating the IPO?

Indeed the forum can become huge and such websites with very high traffic of targetted users can become even an object of take-over for any equity market product company. The growth curve of such websites is exponential, and the last phases of growth curve sees tremendous growth. But still I think TED has to identify some more streams of revenues than advertizing alone.

Also TED can make a lot of improvements in helping the young investors as they tend to invest in MFs first and then equity. I have directed scores of people to valueresearchonlines top MF rating, such a thing at TED is a dead must for TED to attract the first timers. New people are so much confused in deciding about the MFs, we need TED MF XI also. Then TED also has to help them in deciding about the broakerage also since again they are confused in choosing that also. And link to such sections should be placed visibly on the TED main page.

A dedicated web section (Though they are already there at TED, but scattered and a little bulky for the new born young investor) has to be made for him to guide him for MFs and broakerages, giving every detail of opening a/c to maitaining MFs.

In the end one complaint I'd also like to reiterate about TED is, that if we subscribe for email notification of the replies, for each reply one email comes. At the end of the week there are about 100 emails camouflaging our personal emails, if you keep interest in about 15 companies. This should be changed to an option to the reader of either continuing with present system or getting a daily digest, as happens with yahoogroups. I believe that such modification is not in any way difficult, seeing some of the high end features TED website has.
--------------------
In the end, thanks again Basantji for creating such a wonderful concept into reality! Smile

I disagree. I am selfish and I want the learnings of TED to be with me alone. I dont like more people here as it is slowly taking away my first mover advantage. No "Outlook" for me please and  "house arrest" Basant immediately as I don't want more publicity of TED.AngryUnhappyCensored.
Let it be simple

well,
i think learning from TED can not b with u alone, it will b atleast with other 3361 registered members and also the other viewers of the site who r not registered.

and why do u think more members will take away the learnings, many of them will add more information/knowledge too, and that will help u, and others........

Having just read the article in Outlook thought to try for the site. Ecstatic to find the information that we all can share. Looking forward to get enriched with views of the members.
An article on Individual stocks v/s nifty by M satyanand in th his edition of OTM 10th sept also very enlightening.
