Is that a book? If so who is it written by. I have not read it but I like reading books that try to create a fear within the reader.

Sometimes even though fundamentals of a stock were in place and you belived the management will carry on the good work that does not happen or they just seemed to miss the bus....My experience with Macmillan was some what similar...It was a 35% cash genrating co and i thought that was good however not sure where it got messed up...

I take heart from the fact that best of investors would have had commited mistakes in there picks.....

Not an expert at this but I would NOT believe any one who tells me that this data on which people bet billions is not manipulated. The degree of manipulation may vary from Russia, China to India and US

I believe, Energy and food commodities have been stripped out for the calculation of these CPI numbers. ( Apparently consumers do not consume energy and food according to them ).   The official reason is something else. Maybe Bubble can comment on this.
