i agree with most of your points yes if you do get a chance of doing a master in an international b school of good rep and a line of very successful alumnus you should go for it but you should also be very careful in choosing your institutes coz most of the info provide by the lower rung b school showcase them as very good institutes. i however sensed a biasness in your opinion regarding int. exposure indian  schools are also equiped with providing you with the same kind of atmosphere plus you can go on exchange programs with int school which protects you from going into a low grade insti. a friend of mine has just been choosen to go to paris he leaves in a few months and another just returned from europe, and germany now i'd also like to state my views on experiance and education delima here in india there are diffrent forms of course that are there to choose from the two which i find most interesting is firstly the two year course and secondly the excutive course now the former on fits with your idea finish your grad and go for a masters degree however the latter is the one you are looking for as coz its the one designed for executives who have prior industry interferance i like the former one as because you are not bound with your experiance and are free to mould new technique and you are enthusiastic but latter one has some negtive points in that sense as because once what you learn is very difficult to unlearn and as i always say

to each what suits him the best

i would like to discuss this topic as i am giving my gmat in a short time.

i had cracked CAT 2 years back while i was in final year.

there re two points one should consider before deciding to go for MBA.

1. whether you re going to work in inida after your mba or,
2. you ll settle abroad

if you want to work in india then no point spending 100k dollars for the heck of getting international exposure because in india one cannot get the packages which will even help in repaying the education loan.

if you re ambani or tata or birla then you can go to any school but others do have to think while taking education loan worth 100k or more.

so in this it makes more sense to go for CAT or ISB or executive programs by IIMA and IIMb.

in the other scenario where one is willin to settle abroad then an mba from foreign b-school makes absolute sense.
