We have one living example in India as well. Sometimes keeping away from fun place is very difficult. Similar to our own urge to check up portfolio even once in some of very busy working days....
As Basant jee, said this is nothing new to Pak, only mode is changed. I agree with him. Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated in similar fashion. Election.....political rally and suicide attach...all same.
India is also sitting on similar problems. Terrorist are using religion to justify killing in both countries. In both countries govt is not affective. In both counties hundreds of people dies daily on hunger, mal-nutrition & non availability of health facilities. In both counties govt is blind to common man. In both countries people don't know how to remain in peace while practicing religion. In both countries, Govt pays hardly any attention to law & order and slow justice procedure.
I hardly see any significant difference between two. In market terms..technicals are different but fundamentals are weak.CryCry

Situation in Pakistan is far worst than what we have in India... I feel lucky to be a part of peaceful India ... we should not forget that Pakistan is the one who has nourished terrorisms against India.. at some point terrorist will turn against same Pakistani as and when they stop supporting terrorism or their ideologies does not match any more. It is my personal opinion.

Thanks,
Nilesh

In hindi we have a proverb that says saap ko doodh pilaya hai. . . That is exactly what all these leader from across the border have practiced. They are double faced and speak sometimi else when out of power to please Uncle Sam and do a 180 degrees the moment they come to power.

indira gandhi fed doodh to one saap called Jarnail Singh Bindranwale and rajiv gandhi did it to one called vellupillai prabhakaran. In fact the soldiers under Rajiv Gandhi had nabbed Prabhakaran and held him in a Madras jail, but they chose to release him in the hope that the LTTE would be India's pawn in Sri Lanka. And look how it all panned out.

Benazir herself during her regime as PM in the late 1980s played to the jihadi gallery. Remember her obnoxious slogan in 'Azad' Kashmir that went Jag, Jag, Mo, Mo, han, han while she gesticulated the limb by limb dismemberment of the former governor of J&K Jagmohan. Agreed the Pandits were subsequently driven out with or without the complicity of the administration.

But Pakistan's own chickens are coming home to roost now. There is a lesson in this for those who sow hatred including those in the Sangh Parivar particularly one strongman who swept the polls last week.

Very well articulated. I did not know that ltte supremo was nabbed and put in jail but i do have strong and bad memories of what bhutto said for kashmir in fact all pak leaders change opinion the moment they are in power.

issues related to LTTE , Kashmir or khalistan etc were local in nature . these may be tackled by strong will power, military offensive and /or political dialouge.  but  now we are facing AL-Qaeda whose aim is not a peice of land or sharing of power only. it is much more dangereous and global in nature. every such act by AL-Qaeda  need to make us worried, whether it concern  us or  our enemy. at stake is not one particular country or relegion or  culture but the whole world and humanity.
