following re the reasons new people dont introduce themselves..
(these re my observations you might differ)
1. They head right away into stock discussions and get absorbed in them...obviously our discussion forums have quality stuff so once engrossed in it people usually dont go into other forums as lounge or announcements etc....
2. the intro thread is very deep inside ... even i dont remember where it is...occasionally i bump into that thread....
3. we can make it mandatory to fill up a self intro form post 20 logins...because initial filling up of form will scare away a lot of people...once they re 20-30 days old or 20 logins old (both queries can be used to generate a pop up)...they can be directed to introduce yourself forum or they can receive a pop up....if this is financially feasible 
basant ji yahan stop loss ki bat kyun karen?? abhi to TED small cap hai with good management and huge upscale opportunity...multibagger hai...

Congratulations Basantji, now that you hve breached the target of 1000 members , the next target is 1500 members .
Looking at the present trend, this target can be reached by the time the FED completes whatever amount of interst rate cuts it has planned out.
Having said that, the membership can move into a consolidation mode if headless chickens in parliament decide they need a new head!! 
By the way, Basantji it would be intersting to plot a graph of Sensex rise V/S. Membership rise to check if there is a co-relation, though long terms trends for a bear market are not available!

We seem to be charting our own course waves, fibonachi,moving days do not work here. As long as the results (companies that we discuss) are good valuations will follow!!!

Congrats to TED ! Lucky we just crossed a Fibonacci number 987 without any major hitch.. next number to watch out is 1597..

 Ohhhh... I thought crucial level was 1596.50 !! But then we can't have 1/2 (Half) member.
Having said that.....looking at my bakwaas some people might be thinking : "Kya baat karte ho? It's quite possible!!!"
