Hi Prosperity
I can add 1, which is Saint Gobain. 88% of stock is held by french parent. The make glass like Ashai Glass and the demand for the product is great. Right now they are going through the restructuring phase but have potential to come out with flying colours. May be an open offer as well.
Let us know if you reseach it and the results

I am more of a Top-down person than a bottom-up stock picker. So I would recommend some areas
1. Alternative Energy
2. Whole Energy Chain -right from oil & gas exploration to power distribution companies i.e from wellhead to wall-socket.
3. Whole Retail Chain- from agro proceesing to logistics to front-end retail
Some of the companies in this area are Gateway Distirparks,Gati, Freshtrop Fruits, Moser-Baer, Webel SL Energy,Cairn India etc. etc.
BTW Devesh has given us two very interesting ideas to look at
Asian Electronics
Champagne Indage

How about Venus Remedies ? It is out of TED XI team and doing lot of buzz now a days. We have some discussion already goin on regrading this scrip in the Stock Synoposis section. | There has been lot of discussion going on about Venus Remedies of late. I will stay away from such stocks till dust settles atleast . Once anything is discovered there is no cream left !! |
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
its not about dust and story getting uncovered..you have to look at the scale of opportunity that is still present..and if you re convinced with the stock then u can add it....pantaloons was costly at 1100, again at 2200 and now again costly at 500 ....Educomp seemed costly to me when it was at 380..even at 700 and now its out of scope....
venus has given solid performance over past several quarters...and it will continue to do so...just 7-10% rise in prices does not mean that we shud wait further ...it might come down to 470 or it might go upto 650...in any case a person who is not convinced about the company..wont buy....because if it falls to 470 he will wait for a further fall and if it goes upto 650 it will get even costlier for him....
and there s never absolute clearity about future prospects of a company...there will always be some dust ... as lynch says its a 7 card stud poker game....with each card opening story unfolds...

hi guys try this out.......ventura textiles corporation.....cmp Rs: 2.5/=
worth studing this script.........
Surplus land sale is a usual reason given to a scrip going nothward I give hereunder some other reasons to buy or stay invested in this stock:-
1) The company going throgh financial restructuring as got package under BIFR 2)Increasing capacities of production 3)Got a term loan from State bank of India which is known to be a Bank being most careful in landing money to anyone 4)Reliance Capital owns 14.90% of stake in this company which is more than the total share held by general public,i.e.11.99% 5)Mr.Anil Ambani owned reliance group also own 'Celibrity' brand of ready made garments and it makes sense for them to have stake into a cotton yarn manufacturing unit 6)The ownership of Reliance(Anil Ambani group) in this company may go up via different investemt arms of Mr Anil Ambani as the brand Celibrity is doing good Well, if the above mentioned points paly out in future, one may see a re rating of this company in stock market

One small cap which i can really bet is Northgate Technologies. It is into fastest growing VOIP and Advt Exchange business which is highly scalable and as far as my knowledge goes, Management is very agressive.
Indian promoters are holding 36.11% and FII are holding 30.1% and stock is 1:1 exbonus on 31/08/07.
I like to add this if it reacts sharply.
Disclaimer: I hold this stock as part of my portfolio and weightage is 4%

Thanks
