Dear Mr. Kulman,

Congratulations on having become a Senior member at the forum of www.theequitydesk.com. You have now posted over 100 messages.

You have been great at providing us with how the masters would view and comments on each situation. We have been loving each letter in your Warren Buffet quotes. Hope to see you pour more of these words of wisdom. At this point we wish to thank you for the excellent comparision sheet you made indicating what Bufffet would buy in India.. That was a great way to devise a bluechip portfolio.

We look forward to your active participation in the times to come.

Keep posting in those messages.

Regards,

TEAMEQUITYDESK

CONGRATULATIONS Kulman jee!

Thanks everyone!!

I am just learning, please do not compare me with anyone. I have also learnt hard way (and that's the way market teaches you, here tution fees are very very high!!).

There cannot be any fixed formula to success on Dalal Street.

But few qualities are a must to survive:
  • Patience
  • Discipline
  • Conviction
  • Open Mind (parachute, bubblevision!)
  • Humbleness (market punishes rudeness/overconfidence anyway)

I read a lot about great people and try to gather bits and pieces. Let me end this thank you note with my favourite line from (who else?):

The market, like the Lord, helps those who help themselves. But, unlike the Lord, the market does not forgive those who know not what they do. - Warren Buffett

Thank you Kulman If i have contributed anything for you. Actually you have made my day.

Just thought ----
My experience is that people try to be buffet at the top buy value.. and then if the price falls, they sell forgetting Value.
As long as one sticks to value (which you hopefully will), that is great. That is the biggest quality.

If one buys Value.... They must sell value.. (like you) and if one buys price... He must sell price... (like me) The danger comes when the two are mixed.. The resultant kishiri ensures a Loss.

Infact we had a discussion about this in "A good trader looks at price only" forum.

Keep the word of Buffet flying high.....

That is a great quote from buffet given above

Excellent BubbleVision!!

That's what I posted somewhere else: It is very difficult to understand and determine "who am I?".  Mostly they end up buying high and selling low.

Again coming back to the legend:

For some reason people take their cues from price action rather than from values. Price is what you pay. Value is what you get. - Warren Buffett
