BTW...it's not just about Nokia. All of the following companies had decent market share but lost their thunder eventually and are now a pale shadow of their former self or have exited the business:

1. Motorola
2. Siemens
3. LG
4. Sony Ericsson
5. RIM
6. Palm (didn't exactly have a hit phone)

This can be very good contrarian bet. Nokia is a tool for Microsoft to fight Apple and Google in mobile battle. So Nokia can not written off totally.

Things change in tech world 15 years back Apple was almost written off.

Nokia seems to be edging back based on some reviews but then who knows.

Samir Arora must be congratulated for being a true contrarian. The stock has gone down about 30% over the last one month so it takes courage.

Maybe Samir's prediction of a turn around might pan out.

The stock is up a fair bit despite losses as the market realizes that the company won't go bankrupt easily.
