Business

1. Two new pressure cooker models were sold accumulating to 89,000 units sales.

2. Four new cookware models were launched, accumulating to 27,000 units sales.

3. The company feels that despite increasing pressure cooker production from 22.9 lakh units to 28.0 lakh units, they're not able to supply fully the demand for our pressure cookers.

4. FOB value of exports dropped 10% due to delayed shipments because of product scarcity.


Financials

1. The Reserves & Surplus has increased 56.76% from 21.44 crores to 33.61 crores.

2. Unsecured loans from Directors & Other Shareholders have increased 39.74% from 8.78 crores to 12.27 crores.

3. There was an increase of 11.55% in Net Fixed Assets from  15.15 crores to 16.90 crores on account of Plant 7 Machinery.

4. There has been an increase of 22.30% in Inventories from 25.47 crores to 31.15 crores on account of Raw materials & Stock Under Progress, though Finished Goods have fallen 20%.

5. There has been an enormous increase of 174.25% in Cash and Bank Balances from 14.37 crores to 39.41 crores.

6. Current Liabilities has increased 21.76% from 34.69 crores to 42.24 crores.

7. There has been a huge increase of 73.57% in Provisions from 15.44 crores to 26.80 crores on account of Proposed Dividend.

8. Working Capital increased 66.65% from 21.05 crores to 35.08 crores, mainly on account of huge Cash & Bank Balances. Capital employed increased from 36.2 crores to 51.98 crores.

9. Net Sales Income increased 18.25% from 241.47 crores to 285.56 crores. Excise Duty on sales decreased 25.34% from 13.18 crores to 9.84 crores. Excise duty as a %age of sales is 3.33% for 2009-10 as compared to 5.17% for last year.

10. Cost of Materials as a %age of sales has came down to 37.26% for 2009-10 as compared to 44.80% for the previous year, mainly on account of lowered prices.

11. Expenses have increased 17.74% from 106.41 crores to 125.29 crores. Expenses as a %age of sales has decreased to 43.87% for 2009-10 as compared to 44.06% for the previous year.

12. Profit before taxation has increased 90.35% from 29.35 crores to 55.87 crores. Profit after Tax Margin has increased 10 19.56% for 2009-10 from 12.15% for the previous year.

13. Net profit has increased 92.76% from 19.11 crores to 36.83 crores. Net profit margin has increased to 12.89% from 7.91%. Taxes as a %age of sales was 6.66% for 2009-10 as compared to 4.12% for the previous year.

14. The Proposed Dividend forms 57.42% of Net Profit as compared to 55.31% for the previous year.

15. Net cash flow from Operating activities forms 102.68% of Net Profit as compared to 85.76% for the previous year.

16. ROCE for 2009-10 is 107.48% vs 81.07% for the previous year. ROE is 94.67% vs 71.49% for the previous year.

17. Days Inventory outstanding is 97.62 for 2009-10 vs 90.10 for previous year. Days Sales outstanding is 34.62 for 2009-10 vs 36.21 for previous year. Days Payable Outstanding is 132.62 vs 117.41 for previous year. Cash Conversion Cycle for 2009-10 is -0.38 days for 2009-10 vs 8.9 days for the previous year.

funkyappu  sir any idea about the Free cash flow from operations. Sorry I haven't managed to pick up my copy of the AR yet.

Net Cash Flow from Operating Activities is Rs. 37.82 crores.
Free Cash Flow is 25.04 crores.
