I wanted to open demat account in HDFC Bank (and hence I wanted open saving account first).

Shockingly they rejected Government document 10 years old Ration card because my brother's name was one space suffixed by my father' name. They only wanted my brother's name on one line.

I opened my Passport using same ration card( I think PAN card also 4 years before).  I dont know how can these private people challenge government of India provided document which I am using for 10 years for buying ration-pani. This is like challeging Goverment of India.
