Well for the first time i was laughing when markets were going down.....normally i use to calculate my losses.....it was really a great relief to listen to sameer arora  on Tv18...the previous day of the global meltdown...but i was very happy not to be in cyclicals..like cement...

Well the channel is going to be a big winner for sure...and all the taus will agree with that i guess....but the funny part is most of them dont mention its name too...hmmm..what  does that mean....and i havent heard people asking about the future of tv18...do they discard such people who call up to find out about their own company

And talking about a  good laugh...you should watch some show " whosline is it anyway..."

there  are some available on "Youtube.com"

Well, I again lost the opportunity to buy some bargains as I could not access icicidirect.com during these crucial times. (and I didnt sell a single stock)

Just a post mortem of my portfoliio after the bloodbath.. Dont know this is the right thread for it...(KULMANJI  pls forgive me --is bahane ek share ho jaye !!)

I couldnot get out of Cement stocks at 14.5k levels (Ultratech and Shree Cement) I still believe  that it has still some juice left till demand supply equation becomes in favour of supply till new capacities are bulit up.

Basantji your views on this (I am sure this will not go the way sugar has gone ...)

I have investments in diversified mutual funds (midcap+elss) thru SIP and I found they have tanked by almost 10-15%(profit percentage ).(I am outperforming mutual funds for last 3 years !!!SmileSmileSmile)

Rest of the team 11 + others were bought at lower levels (though Percentage of profit has come down !!)

From the team XI, I think except PVR all are ok.  (Anyone has any idea -why is PVR going down ? are they not executing as per the schedule?

I have started to believe in Educomp story-its becoming a strong stock didnt go below 900--surprising , even pantaloon is holding ground and Bharti and HDFC Bank can cover 100 rs in next 2 months !!

ABN coming down- it was shocking to see that

Basantji and TED's any advise, comments ?

 Danke

P.S -Sorry, PVR is not in team XI

Sandeep, Om Namah Shivaya!

All will be well...Have patience. Educomp seems quite okay the way it has held up, but i think it is mroe to do with the fact that the majority of the public shares are with a specific set of people who will not sell so soon. I however have got out of sometime back.

Nucleus, TCS, Pantaloon, TV18 all seem well. Now, it's time to Network18 to show what it is made of!

Om Namah Shukra!

Here's some corrospondence between a "bruised fund manager" and his "bull boss" after the recent market crash:
(incidentally both of them are shariars!Wink)

Shayari from boss...

Arz kiya hai......... -.....
Transactions galat hote hain...
Faulty calls ka sama hota hai....
Aise mausam mein hi to PERFORMANCE pata chalta hai?.
Dil ki khunnas BOSS jabaan se nahi kehte...
Ye fasana to appraisal mein bayan hota hai....
(wah wah ... wah wah)Smile

Fund Manager's reply...

Arz kiya hai......... -.....
Appraisal hote hain...
Disappointment ka sama hota hai...
Aise mausam mein hi to Attrition jawan hota hai?.
Dil ki khunnas HUM jabaan se nahi kehte...
Ye fasana to Resignation se bayan hota hai....
(wah wah ... wah wah)TongueTongue
