Hey Shivkumar,
Your wishes & DB's predictions have indeed come true.
What are you doing with L&T and Voltas now?
L&T @ 799 ; Voltas @ 67.5

picked some voltas at around 80-90, but ran out of funds. Have Punj Lloyd instead of Larsen and Toubro in my portfolio.

Shiva, What is your opinion on effect of slowdown on voltas?

short-term impact could be brutal in companies like voltas, but when the cycle turns, one can expect voltas to be a shooting star. anyway the threat to earnings is far lower with voltas because of its strong financials.
Wish I had the cash to buy!!!

Interest rates are on the wane. But, infrastructure firms can't
quite smile yet. The reason: their working capital cycle has expanded.
Headache goes; heartburn begins.
For a contractor, working
capital cycle is the period intervening the date it takes a loan from a
bank to do some work for a client, and the date it gets paid by the
client. When the client defers payment, the contractor will not only
find it difficult to repay the loan on time, but also need another loan
to keep the work going, leading to expansion of the cycle.

Very relevant argument and in this situation the ones with high debt and more dependent on private sector orders could feel the pinch but someone would rightly argue as to how much of this is not built into the price?
