Thanks a lot. See everyone has an agenda for some it could be money for some it could be passion for the others it could be something that he also does not know. My agenda is to have have an online community of serious investors who can do their own research and share thoughts on investing. It is a kind of a situation where the user himself creates the content and benefits from the content that others have created.

Now I could have started in a pay mode tried to come on TV and spoken the same thing but sometimes money is not the end all of everything. I like talking to people who want to dream big. That dream could be about anything.

Equities have been a passion for me so much so that even when I meet a completelty unknown stranger on  a train or in flight the first advice I give him is to start investing in equities (SIP) through the MF route.I doubt if anyone starts doing that but people who keep money in Bank FD's or PPF are actually doing sin with their money.

A monthly investment of Rs 500 (Rs 17 per day) for 30 years @21%CAGR can create a wealth of Rs 1.5 crores.

That means all the rickshawwallas, taxiwallas, peons, servants and chowkidaars can retire crorepatis

As a MF distributor I love selling SIP plans to investors who have a longer term view.

Basantji,

From where can we fish out these kind of critical info.
I was not-at-all aware of the carriage fees.

To do my thorough analysis of any stock - i need to acquire this trait..

Need to understand how i can quickly read Balance Sheets...

And ultimately want to become like you who can fundamentally analyse any company and come up with the reports (like u have always done)..

PLS GUIDE AND HELP !!

It is no secret that television networks like NDTV and TV18 have been paying through their nose-estimates range from Rs 15 to 20 crore annually per network- to cable biggies like Hathway to carry their channels in their prime band.Known as 'carriage fees',this levy has shaved off the profits TV channels make.WiTh CAS in place, this cookie might just crumble.
An official of GBN,could not contain his glee at this IPO launch and said broadcasters may finally see an end to paying huge amounts for preferential placement. In the CAS regime, the digital feed ensures clarity of as many as 150 channels.
This is the time to celebrate.

prosperity,

all the info's r either from net, newspapers or magazines.

For you to analyse ,you need optics  which Basantji wears.Something is special in that optics.Basantji,is that imported ones or the ones which Shah Rukh wears in Badshah.

Devesh: They are normal ones though I would like to wear what AMar Singh wears. But those "blessed" optics of his are witness to a lot of things which may not be morally or socially accepatable

Prosperity: Since I follow only two or three sectors in detail it helps me understand the industry dynamics better.Kulmanji could throw in a Buffet talk here about core competency etc!!!

Basantji, Rewording my earlier words, since i meant something else...

Want to become like you who can fundamentally analyse (to 75% extent) any new company/sector in just 1-2 hours flat and come up with the your own report in the same 1-2 hours..

I am reading-savvy and interested in company i shortlist/invest, so i get lots of info thru web/company's_website/analyst_reports/blogs/etc.

But i want to understand HOW TO FUNDAMENTALLY ANALYSE and come up with the "GIST" or "KEY_POINTS" in my 1 hour analysis...

I have read your "investing strategy" and dont want you to repeat that. I am more-so looking forward to your 1 HOUR "analysis strategy" to the new companies/sectors you are looking for the FIRST TIME !!

It would be a great insight and joy to me, if you can share that with me.. I would try my best to understand it and work on it to see that i also can do it ... since i know you can do it ...
