I had not even looked at the returns of QLTEMF before I had posted my views.... Is its return just 8%...

Even a passive Index Fund would have generated better returns. Can anyone tell me what was the sharp ratio. I would like to look at Volatility adjusted returns of the fund.

Note: These  views are personal and everyone may not subscribe to it. Those not subscribing may ignore it.

The sharpe ratio has not been calculated since the fund has just completed one year of existence but you may visit this link to understand that the fund was an average market underperformer!

No offense meant...but just cudnt resist....some drama around 8 % is warranted.

"Arre o sambha...kitna return diya re Quantum long term equity fund ne.....

8 % sardar....

Su*&^ ke baccho....market ne 20-25 % return diya (since march from 10000 odd levels )......tum 8 %.....kya sochkar aaye...sardar khush hoga..dividend dega....bol re sambha..

Sardar...main "value" find kar raha tha...isliye 65 % cash me tha....maaf kar do sardaar.."

No offense meant...

on a serious note..

...8 % only..ye to muze pata hi nahi tha.....may i deduct average 6% inflation....so much for "value/discipline" and "cost-cutting".......what were the top picks ?

Its a crime to deliver 8 % returns despite being in 65 % cash at peak valuations...

He said..."MY qltef has completed 1 year on 13th march....and has done pretty well"....

Now..if 8 % is good enuff for him in the scorching bull market....ab kya bolu main ?

Naam bade aur darshan chote....

The returns have improved on the back of yesterday's rally to around 9.8%. This is where you can see the top picks.

You know those guys want to buy at declines. I was also amused to see that clipping. Clearly you expect people to be better then that. After all is all the fight for that 10% lower down?ALso they say that at 11,000 they would be aggressive buyesr meaning that at 12,000 they should be feeling the sensex to be fairly valued!!!

A long term investor would not think like that. 10% down for a 5 year investor means 2% CAGR so would you lose an oppoartunity to invest India just because stopcks are 2% less cheap then what you think?

(Ja)mura{as BasantJi described it} or NO-MORE-Aaa ... is a Jap Fund. And Interest rates in Jap is 0.50% so for them a difference of 6-7% is HUGE!

Monu -- That was brilliant.
