I like SHRTRA and BlueStar from your portfolio.

Why Patel Airtemp when you have Bluestar ?

Only after i bought balmer investment, i realized its probabaly better to buy tata investments if one was indeed looking to buy any holding company kind of stock.

Just my thoughts..
best wishes,
samir.

I like historic growth, balance sheet of this Patel. Management also seems good.  My acquisition cost is also low from CMP. I think if management doesn't do anything stupid, this will yield good return [better than BlueStar].. But again, we have risk associated with smallcaps so portfolio allocation is also low.

Hitesh, as an IT guy I really dont like MS as an IT company itself [Wink].
Actually main reason to switch to open office was my MS Office license expired and I didnt wanted to renew it.. [oh yeah! ppl don't use pirate copy in US ].. But Open Office is really cool!

Main reason why I have BLIL is that I like Balmer Lawrie & Company.
I like the fact that BLIL can't do anything [stupid] other than holding Balmer Lawrie...
Also, this is my so called 'cash-equivalent' holding..
