Name : Lalit
Age : 28 years
Occupation : Software Engineer working in Bangalore
Interest : Stock investments, Reading about finance.

Investment style : Long term invertor. I am quite a newbie and started tracking stocks and investing one & half years back. Initially I could not get thinks right & was having trading mantality. Now really thinking about long term & stocks of future. I try to avoid companies that I do not understand (pharma for example) & managements that are not convincing. I have small investments in the following companies.

Portfolio : Reliance, ITC, Pantaloon, Suzlon, TV18, ICICI, SBI, Gitanjali

Invetment legend : Warren Buffet, Peter Lunch, RJ
Couple of things that I try to practicise:
1. Never to overpay for a stock (Most of the stock that I have .. I overpaid for them) Wait for price to correct. Patience pays off.
2. Never to speculate or trade. I will prefer going to Las Vegas & play casinos, as I have better chance of making quick money there.

My quote "If you want to gamble, better goto Las Vegas than Dalal Street"

Happy Investing...

Here I am
-Name : Vivek Kumaresan
- Age : 28 years
- Location : Los Angeles
- Occupation : Software Project Manager with an Indian IT Biggie
- Interests : Reading on Investing, Photography, wildlife, computer games, cooking, of late commodities
- Investing styles - Trying to develop one for the past 2 some years...Shifting towards 50% in top Mutual funds adn other 50% as concentrated positions of 5-7 stocks. I figured during market downside my Mutual funds portfolio fell with the market while my stock portfolio fell lot more.. Holding Pantaloon Retail, Balmer Lawrie, TV18, Nucleus Software, Infosys as top holdings..
- Investing Legends - Buffet's Conviction..Peter Lynch's approach - Though could it hard to relate to him in some areas..Robert Kiyoski's Rich dad poor dad that pulled me into equity markets

Appreciate what you are doing with this group Basantji & other Senior members .. There are too many trivial groups which dilly dally on tips and quick 10% etc...But what you guys are creating here stands apart and is much more mature forum...Forum where we all dare to dream.. dreams supported with a logical story, supported by facts..
Often we forget there's a company behind every stock, and there's only one reason why stocks go up. Companies go from doing poorly to doing well or small companies grow to large companies.
