Hi Guys,
Thank you for joining in. The feedback that we have received over the past 3 days has overwhelmed me. The site is already being rated in the top 2 percentile and my sense is that we could help it become VERY BIG...  VERY SOON.

Guys we have come here from various walks of life some would be investors, others professionals of other field and from the feed back I got there were quite a number of people who were students trying to understand the complex world of investing.

It would be really great if everyone left a small introduction on this section something like :
- Name
- Age
- Location
- Occupation
- Interests
- Investing styles - Trader/Investor etc etc
- Investing Legends - Could be Buffet to Neff.

To start with here is my introduction
 -Name : Basant Maheshwari
- Age : 34 years and still growing older with each passing day
- Location : Kolkata (Salt Lake)
- Occupation : Financial Consultant, Academics, Graphologist
- Interests : Reading books on people who have and who want to make
it BIG. Generally I prefer reading on finance.

- Investing styles - Very very long term investor with extremely
concentarted positions. The 3 significant weighted stocks that I hold in
my portfolio are Pantaloon, Titan and Voltas. I have elaborately
indicated my investing strategy in investing strategy in this thread

- Investing Legends - Peter Lynch. "Buy what you see"  is the mantra
I follow. To me Graham is more theoritical and Buffet too difficult to
emulate.I do use Buffet's investing strategies and thoughts though.

Please enter as much information as you can, there's no pressure..

Thanks everyone and enjoy yourself!

Regards,

Basant

The most important quality for an investor is temperament, not intellect.A temperament that neither derives great pleasure from being with the crowd nor against it
